My name is Ang Tsering Sherpa, and I am a trekking and aspiring mountain climber here in Nepal. I first met my wife, Pritty Gurung (Sherpa), when we were both teenagers. We dated for five years before getting married, and we have been together for over a decade.
My father, Rinji Sherpa, bought a hotel in Phakding, Everest Region, 13 years ago. My parents ran it for six years, but they eventually retired due to the cold weather conditions. For the next five years, we rented the hotel to other people until Covid-19 hit and we decided to take it over ourselves.
Since August 2022, my wife and I have been running the hotel together, and it has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience. It’s a cozy and comfortable place for trekkers and mountain climbers visiting the Everest region, and I am able to offer valuable insight and guidance to guests who are interested in exploring the region’s natural beauty.
As someone who is passionate about trekking and mountain climbing, running this hotel is a dream come true for me. I get to share my love for the outdoors with guests from all over the world, and it’s a joy to see them return from their adventures and share their stories with us.
Overall, Pritty and I are proud of what we have accomplished so far, and we are excited to continue working hard to make the hotel a welcoming and comfortable destination for travelers.
